Our expert chiropractor will complete a thorough health history with you, asking questions about any specific complaint you may have, as well as questions about your overall current health status. The chiropractor will decide whether to proceed with any clinical examination and/or investigations that are deemed appropriate in your case.
The chiropractor will explain what tests are necessary, why they are required and how much they will cost and seek your consent before proceeding. These tests may include assessing your posture, examining the way that your spine moves, performing any orthopaedic and neurological testing that is required, and feeling your spine, and surrounding muscles for the presence of imbalance or spinal subluxation (misalignment).
The chiropractor may wish to have some x-rays taken of your spine. Rest assured that we only take the required views, and if you have had x-rays taken recently you may not need to have any taken at all.
At our clinic we have a state-of-the-art digital X-ray equipment allowing our chiropractors to take X-rays on site and have the results within minutes. After your first visit, your chiropractor will take their time carefully reviewing your x-rays and comparing them with the results from the examinations performed today.
After we study your health history and correlate our examination findings, we’ll make recommendations designed to help you get and keep your health. We call this the Report of Findings. In order for any case to be accepted at our practice, it is essential you attend for a report of your examination findings. Our two-visit approach accomplishes several things:
Reduces the length of your first visitGives us time to correlate our findingsAvoids overloading you with too much information
In certain situations, and in the professional judgment of your chiropractor, we sometimes make exceptions. It just depends on your unique situation.
